Belief Statements:
Child FindValley View I.S.D. assists in providing for the special education of children who have a disability. Children with disabilities including vision and hearing problems, mental perceptual, speech, language, social and/or emotional disabilities may be eligible for the program. Programs are available for children ages 0-21 years old. Early education can be critical because of the amount of learning that takes place in the Pre-School years. The Pre-School Program for children with disabilities provides services for children ages 3-5 years old. Early Childhood Intervention provides services for children ages birth to 2. If you are aware of a child suspected of having a disability who lives in the Valley View Independent School District, please contact V.V.I.S.D. for information about screening and evaluation services at no cost. The goal of V.V.I.S.D. is to identify children with disabilities living in the district. All children who qualify for Special Education services have a right to a free and appropriate public education. |
