Rules for Using Technology
Students - Employees
Students Rules :
- No E-Mail
- No Chat Rooms
- No Games
- Follow guidelines set by your teacher, school and parents. Know the rules and penalties in the school's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
- Do not give out personal information (last name, address, phone number, credit card number, photograph, etc.)
- Report to your parents and/or teachers problems relating offensive language, inappropriate graphic or photographs and contacts that make you feel uneasy.
- Learn to search safely online for content you need and to evaluate the quality of the sources and the value of the content you find online.
- Understand that the Internet is public and whatever you publish will be available to everyone.
- Keep in mind that illegal copying relates both to copying software and use of the printed material and graphics of others.
- Do not use others' accounts or look into others' files at home or at school.
- Remember that you will be held responsible for your actions with technologies.
- You may not download files or load files onto computer without permission, It is your responsibility to help keep school and home computers virus-free.
- Understand that privacy cannot be guaranteed in certain situations.
- Use common sense and good manner online.

Employee Rules :
- No external E-Mail (yahoo, hotmail, gmail, msn, etc.)
- No Chat Rooms
- No Unauthorized installations (games, programs, etc.)
- Follow guidelines set by the school's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
- Do not give out personal information (last name, address, phone number, credit card number, photograph, etc.)
- Report to the technology department and/or supervisor about problems relating offensive language, inappropriate graphic or photographs, and security issues.
- NO DOWNLOADING of any kind unless authorized by the technology department.
- ALWAYS CONSULT with the technology department before purchasing, installing, downloading any software or hardware.
- Understand that privacy cannot be guaranteed in certain situations.
- Remember that you will be held responsible for your actions with technologies.
- Understand that the Internet is public and whatever you publish will be available to everyone.
- Do not use others' accounts or look in to others' files.
- Keep in mind that illegal copying relates to copying software, files, pictures, music, and use of the printed, copyright, trademark, and graphics of others.
- Remember that anything connected to the districts' network is monitored.
- Unauthorized access to our network will not be tolerated.
