"NEW TO DISTRICT" - DISTRICT WIDE REGISTRATION
(all grade levels)

- Residency Documentation:
- Proof of Residency: A current (within 30 days) light, water, or gas utility bill. The name on the utility bill must be of students’ parents. If parent does not have a utility bill due to the purchase of a new home, parent must bring home owners contract.
- Renting: Lease agreement, rental contract, or family affidavit stamped by apartment complex.- This documentation will NOT require a Notarized Letter.
- Renting: Two or more families, must bring letter from landlord approving the additional families to the residence.
- Lives with relatives that own home in VV ISD: Owner needs to be present with proof of residency and must sign off on the Valley View ISD -Notarized Letter Form along with parent signature.
- Parents that are registering a student with a Power of Attorney – must be a Valley View ISD – Power Of Attorney Form.
- Required Student Records for Registration
- Students Birth Certificate
- Students Current Immunization Record
- Students Social Security Card, if applicable
- Proof of Identification of Parent
- Pre-kindergarten registration – Must provide proof of income for SECONDARY 6TH – 12TH
- Students recent report card/withdrawal form – for placement purposes
- Language Assessment Scores & Language Survey from Previous School (6th – 12th grade only)
- Current Transcript/Withdrawal Form previous school (6-12th grade only)
- Attendance/Discipline Record
- Steps / Student Intake Center [Check List will be given to parent before starting the registration process.]
- Step 1: How are you claiming residency in Valley View ISD?
- “Utility Bill- Property Owner -Where do you live?”
- “New to District: POA or Notarized Letter/Second Family”
- Documentation Check
- Step 2: Nurse
- Step 3: Parent enrolls at corresponding campus. If parent has children at different grade levels, (5th, 6th, 8th, 10th) parent will need to get in line for all four campuses. In how each campus will be responsible for their registration.
- Step 4: Review all required documentation; Registration Form is entered in RSCCC to activate by PEIMS
- Step 5: Approval Notice/RSCCC Registration Form is given to parent to show approval status and is taken by parent to the campus on the first day of school.
- In between these steps, campus can create schedule for student before school begins.
